It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a great deal, especially if your home or office has a lot of bare floors and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and you can use it while you're at work or going to school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming that is available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with a self-emptying dock, though. The latest model from iRobot is its most advanced and has advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored an absolute 10 out of 10 in our tests. This is thanks to a combination high-tech sensors, including a structured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The iRobot application is designed to guide you through the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to design cleaning schedules, or to organize an automatic spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for better performance. The app comes with a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.
